For ppl that likes art?

ok, for people that likes art, what can u tell me about these paintings. whats ur opinion? what do u like about them, what don’t u, what’s ur reaction 2 them, their style, symbolism? give me ur critique. I have to write a page on 5 of these art works and 2 tell u the truth I know nothing about art so the more information u give me the better =D
Here are some things that u cant really tell from the photo:
In the painting “El valle de la Luna”(the Valley of the Moon) the painting its done on carved wood.
In “Bala perdida” (lost bullet) this art work its done with feathers on wood.
In the sculpture “Este corazon no es mio” (this Heart is not mine” its done with clay.
In “la gran sandia” (the big watermelon) the table cloth that’s on the table looks real.
In “muerte por tupperware” (Death by tupperware) and “Beso asesino” (killer kiss) they’re both a digital impression.

ok here is what i think:

the first two in my opinion are amateur art, the death by tupperware speaks for itself, it doesnt convey much emotion other than the emotion of fear and sponteantuniuty. the art itself is unique and imaginative but lacks in quality and execution. the killer kiss is much more interesting beacuse its ambigious and mysterious because she is obviously gazing at something up most likely on the ceiling connotating something very scary and probably supernatural. there is a juxtaposition between her apperance and her actions. she resembles a modern maryln monroe but her freakishly creepy gaze clashes with her apperance, furthermore the background although draped in pretty vibrant lively colors is shaded which gives the whole scene a mystical and creepy feel

the third piece was interesting and executed with precision, i like the unique brush strokes, i found that the emphasis was not on the violence portrayed in the image but rather on the tranquil and calm expression of the man. i also thought it was interesting that the artist chose to portray this man in a repulsive manner, the teeth and the for example connotates disgust. so the artist could be portraying a sinful act through imagery.

bala pardita was really interesting in that it was executed really well and the emotions were portrayed very clearly. it gives of the sense of a maze and trickery. it also gives the sense of falling down, hopelessness, and at the same time the conveyance of peace.

i personally am not particularly fond of the sculpture, the body is elongated beyond realism and i am not quite sure what the artist is trying to convey beyond inner-self.

i really enjoyed the watermelon piece, very realistic and mind-twisting and very beautiful. it is taking a mundane object and turning it into a very beautiful piece of artwork.

the maria gomez one was really interesting, i got the sense of a dream like scene very surrealistic and very similar to Dali’s work, all of these images are symbols in psychology, i know that the fish as well as the nude represent some psychological aspect, i recommend you research what they stand for.

wow, i have to say my favorite was the valley of the moon, very beautiful and mysterious and ambigious. i am still not sure what it being portrayed here but it is very peaceful and a bit sad to look at it, it conveys these emotions even without me having a clear idea of what the artist is trying to represent, very surrealistic.

i am not fond of the last piece with the airplane but it looks like to me its is influeneced by the dada period.
